HDTV Facts - You Thought You Knew Them All

HDTV is commonly used these days when referring to the latest digital television broadcast. The term stands for High Definition Television. It is the latest fad for viewing different programs on TV. This technology is new and offers better image and sound production than other types of digital television.

One of the facts you must know about HDTV is that the picture output from it is lifelike. This means that the images from the TV looks real as if you are in the stadium or a scene where the broadcasts is shot. If you make a comparison between this picture output and that which is produced from a standard analog TV, you will surely know what I mean. The difference is very clear.

Another fact about HDTV is that the color display from the broadcast is so sharp and attractive that lots of people have fallen absolutely in love with it; including me. The images look quite realistic with the display of varieties of colors. This you will not really get from the view of analog TV.

HDTV broadcasts are usually with the Dolby Digital surround sound. This gives you a three-dimensional sound output, which will make you enjoy the music productions. More so, you will really get the thrill of viewing your TV with sounds that resembles those of a movie theater.

Also, HDTV does not display lines, snow or ghosting which usually interferes with analog TV broadcasts. The broadcasts in HDTV are usually done in a high resolution.

These are some important facts about HDTV that you really need to know.

HDTV Satellite Receivers Compared

Satellite HDTV (high definition TV) is all the rage these days, and DISH Network and DIRECTV are broadcasting more and more of their programming in high definition. So how do their HDTV receivers compare? Let's take a look ...

What is HDTV?

HDTV is a television broadcast format that uses a digital signal to produce an image that's far more detailed than a regular analog TV signal. In fact, an HDTV image is so lifelike it's like looking at a scene through a window.

In order to get satellite HDTV you need to subscribe to either DISH Network or DIRECTV satellite TV service, and you need the following equipment:

* An HDTV - LCD, plasma, or tube TV.

* An HDTV compatible satellite dish.

* An HDTV satellite receiver.

HDTVs

HDTVs come in a variety of makes and models. You can get an inexpensive tube HDTV for less than $300. LCD and plasma TVs will run you $900 to $30,000. And large-screen projections TVs will set you back $1,000 to $13,000.

Note: For more information on HDTVs click on the links below.

HDTV Satellite Receivers

DISH Network and DIRECTV HDTV receivers feature:

* Digital video with 1080i lines of resolution for the clearest picture available.

* Dolby Digital Surround Sound for three-dimensional audio.

* On-screen programming that allows you to create a list of your favorite channels, and search for programs by name, by actor, or by keyword.

* Outputs that can connect your receiver to your stereo or home theater system for superior sound.

DISH Network will give you a free HDTV receiver when you subscribe to their service, and DIRECTV will give you a free HDTV receiver, after a $99 mail-in rebate, when you sign up with them.

If you want to record your favorite shows in HD format, you can get a combination DVR (digital video recorder) HDTV receiver from DISH Network or DIRECTV that will record up to 200 hours of programming, and store those programs inside your receiver.

For more information on HDTV receivers click on the links below.

HDTV Satellite Dish

DISH Network and DIRECTV will give you a free satellite dish, a free four-TV receiver system, and install your satellite TV system for free when you subscribe to their service. Your installer will even show you how to operate your new system.

HDTV Programming

DISH Network HDTV programming starts at $29.99 a month for 25 HD channels and 75 regular satellite TV channels, and goes up to $79.99 for 25 HD channels and 350 regular channels.

DIRECTV has one HDTV programming package which has seven HD channels for $9.99 a month. In order to get this package you must subscribe to one of their regular programming packages which start at $29.99 for 155 channels.

Bottom Line

When it comes to which HDTV receiver is the best, there's really not much difference between DISH Network and DIRECTV receivers. Both are state-of-the-art and top-of-the-line.

When it comes to HDTV programming, however, DISH Network has the edge over DIRECTV when it comes to number of HDTV channels and price.

HDTV's Surging Popularity - How to Buy the Right HDTV

This year alone sales of HDTV is expected to reach 20 million. In fact, HDTV sales is on track to increase all the time especially during major sporting events, as fans to want to enjoy the big game in all of its high-definition glory! HDTV comes in different prices and sizes. Whether it is DLP, LCD or Plasma, the choice can be overwhelming. Consumers are often confused on what to buy because of their unfamiliarity with the technology.

Studies show that nearly 60% of HDTV buyers are not sure on the difference between LCD, Plasma and Micro Display. Many HDTV shoppers do take time to research but still need to be guided on which product is appropriate for their demands and budget. A HDTV Buyers guide can make this easier.

Cable companies have strengthened the demand for HDTV, as there is already 17 channels that offer HD programming. In addition, HDTV prices have sharply dropped over the past year and some sets cost as lows $1,500.

Comcast has reported that its roster of HDTV customer agents has ballooned to 1,100 and they answer queries and take orders from subscribers. The company has also deployed 1,100 HDTV technicians to assist in setting-up the products at homes.

Terms of HDTV

HDTV - A new breed of TV that combines the capabilities of a HD-tuner and HD-ready display. Nearly all HDTVs' sold in the market today use the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. An HDTV tuner can still receive analog and digital broadcasts over-the-air.

HD Compatible TV- These sets only consist of the high-resolution display. They can only accept digital broadcasts if hooked with a separate HDTV tuner. HD-compatible TVs can have the 16:9 widescreen ratio or the squarer 4:3 aspect ratio.

Starting on HDTV

A recent study by the Consumer Electronics Association indicated that 71% on consumers it has surveyed plans to purchase an HDTV set soon are already planning and saving up. However, one reality in the consumer market today is that stores do not have the right number trained salespeople that have a good understanding on the new technology.

Most are more concerned on making a quick sale rather than making it easy for the consumer to understand what he is going through. Translating or explaining complicated technology terms is never an easy task. This is where specialised buying guides to HDTV can be invaluable and save you hundreds in buying the wrong type!

This is where a specialist HDTV guide will help and potentially save you hundreds of dollars in buying the correct setup. It's hard enough to explain the difference between HDTV and analog TV and it is even more difficult to clearly tell the difference between HDTV and EDTV.

Setting up HDTV

When you decide to jump into HDTV give yourself time to become familiar with the technology. An HDTV setup normally consists of the following, HD-ready TV, receiver, antenna and HDTV service provider. Many HDTV's nowadays already have a built-in tuner, removing the need to purchase an independent box.

Receiver

The DIRECTV HR10-250 High-Definition Television satellite receiver is ideal for those that want to get the most out of watching crystal-clear HDTV broadcasts. The HR10-250 can receive and decode digital signals from DIRECTV's high-resolution broadcasts. The satellite receiver also features a built-in hard drive digital video recorder.

HD-broadcasts feature images rich in detail and surround sound makes a room alive and vibrant. HR10-250 HDTV satellite receiver can be connected to any HD-ready TV and home audio system.

If you are in the market to buy a HDTV, then I would recommend that you research as much as you can. HDTV Buyers Guides can be very useful to give you fuller explanation on what to look out for and what to avoid!

HDTV Televisions - What You Need to Know Before Buying

Do you know what an HDTV is? If you don't, it stands for high definition television. In fact it will be quite some time before this technology is outdated. In general, HDTV televisions come in different types and sizes. There 3 different types of HDTV's are (CRT)direct view TV's, Flat Panel Plasma or LCD's, rear projection TV's and home theatre projectors.

The first one is something that is being phased out because it is too bulky and is rarely PC compatible. Since it is going away, there is no point in talking about it any longer so we move on to the next one which is which is the plasma and the LCD television. Both of these are selling fairly well in the market despite its expensive price tag. To give you an idea, you could be paying something from £150 to almost £3000 to have one of these inside your home.

But why is it so expensive? Because of the technology used which makes these units sleek and flat. It also promises to give you crystal clear pictures and audio which makes you feel like you are watching a movie as though you are inside a theatre. Then you have the rear projection televisions which are getting rarer. You can find a screen between 50 to 73 inches in the market with a price range from £1000 to £3000. But why go for that when companies are now working on bigger screens for the plasma and LCD which are much better to own?

The home theatre projections are also a thing of the past thanks to the plasma and LCD televisions. This is why just like direct view televisions, it is not worth talking about any more especially when there is no longer a demand. This bring us now to the question, can we just bring the HDTV home, plug it in and then start watching anything on it? The answer is no because you need to get a television signal in order for pictures to appear on the screen. For that, you will need an HDTV source, an HDTV channel, and the HDTV show itself.

The HDTV source comes from your cable or satellite provider. Once you sign up, you will get a cable or a box which is connected to your television. Of the two, the satellite is more expensive because apart from the box, you need to put a satellite dish outside your house.

Some shows on television now broadcast on high definition so you need to flip to that channel to watch on that format. Is it different from watching without high definition? Not really but it won't be long that other networks follow suit so you should already be ready for it. High definition is truly changing the way we watch whatever comes out of the tube. Aside from television shows, you will notice that this is also happening to the DVD's that you purchase.

So if we want to keep up with the times, we have to stay updated with whatever technology there is available. You are not doing this to be cool but to simply have the best that life has to offer as you are sitting comfortably on our favourite chair.

Rating HDTV - What To Consider When Buying High Definition Television

With the craze for HDTV in today's world of TV entertainment, it would be hard for one to choose the ideal HDTV set to place in his or her living room. How do we differentiate the models that are available on the market? The ratings on HDTV will be useful information for us to choose from the various brands and types available out there.

Firstly, we should look at the native resolution of the HDTV. This resolution will determine the display of the set. This simply means that the higher resolution the set has, the better your TV experience will be. A HDTV should at least have a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The trend today goes for 1080p resolution because more and more media will arise in the future due to the improvement of technology. One that we are hearing about now is the blu-ray disc.

Another point that we should look out for is the contrast ratio. The same thing goes for this ratio. The higher the ratio, the better it is for you. A contrast of 10000: 1 will give you the perfect viewing experience. However, this contrast ratio is much lower in LCD TV set. Therefore, this gives the HDTV an advantage over LCD TV. While paying attention to those key details of a good HDTV set, we should also remember the standard definition. This definition is necessary for those who want to watch normal DVD or VHS tapes. Without this standard definition, the picture will turn out bad on the HDTV.

Last but not least, we should remember the video processor for the TV set. A good video processor will produce good quality picture and vice versa. We can get to know about the video processor in a HDTV by looking for the review statement in the rating. It would take a massive task if you were to figure out by yourself. So, read about the reviewer statement to help you make your choice.

In conclusion, the HDTV will bring you the perfect viewing experience. When you shop for it, bring some of your own favorite DVD to test it and feel the HDTV set. Then, you will get now which one suits your need and taste. Test out everything about the set. In addition, you should also study the review on the set of you choice to get an idea of what the expert s about it. No matter which one id chosen by you, you will be feasted with the superb the quality of the HDTV.

Watching HDTV on Your Laptop

Do you have a small laptop with a beautiful LCD display?

Active matrix is now the standard for laptops and, as a result, the quality of images on most laptops is comparable to most desktops.

Why should you let your TV and your desktop have all of the fun with high-definition programming?

High-definition (HD) programming allows you to view movies and television as they were meant to be viewed. Almost all TV viewers who have the opportunity to view HD broadcasts say they strongly prefer them to standard digital and analog broadcasts. Many TV's now come with HD tuners standard and it is very easy to find HD tuners for PC's. Unfortunately these have only been available as PCI cards traditionally. PCI cards require you to open your computer and install the card on the motherboard - this is not an option for laptops.

Take advantage of USB 2.0 to watch HD programming

Now you can use your USB 2.0 port, which comes standard on virtually every laptop manufactured today, to watch HD programming. Note that USB 1.1 is much to slow to stream video without a lot of choppiness. This technology comes from Korea and has been available in Korea for about two years - now various manufacturers are embracing the technology and products are starting to appear on the American market which will allow you to stream HDTV to your laptop.

DVR-like attributes will be coming

Along with the ability to stream HDTV to your laptop comes the ability to record programming to be viewed at a later date. This technology, commonly referred to as digital video recording or simply Tivo-ing, offers you the ability to record HD programming for playback. The USB HDTV adapters available in the US right now do feature time-shift technology, but the ability to download the programming information will require you to find a third-party service. Fortunately these are popping up all over the place to fill the pending demand.

Preston Wily is the marketing director for Sewell Direct, an online retailer of hard-to-find computer cables and accessories. Sewell Direct offers a USB HDTV Adapter from OnAir and offers a variety of other HDTV cables and accessories.

HDTV Enters the Fourth Dimension - 120Hz Frame Rates

There's a lot of talk these days about frame rates in the new HDTVs. The frame rate is simply the number of distinct images a TV screen can display in a second, and is also known as the display rate or "Hertz". Hertz is the scientific unit for cycles per second, and is abbreviated "Hz". The latest buzzword is "120Hz", which means a display rate of 120 frames per second. This is twice as fast as most HDTVs are capable of (60Hz), so it ought to make the moving pictures look smoother. But, the human eye can only process about 20 to 25 distinct images per second, so why should it matter what the frame rate is, as long as it is faster than your eyes can see?

The answer comes when you realize that not all video is filmed at the same rate. Movies are usually filmed at a rate of 24 Hz, most TV is filmed at 30 Hz, and some sports events are now being filmed at 60 Hz.

Some simple math will show the problem and reveal the solution. When a TV set wants to display 60 frames per second, and the cable TV company sends it 30 frames per second, that's easy to deal with: the TV shows each frame twice in a row, creating an image made up of two consecutive frames. Each image will last exactly 1/30th of a second on the screen, and things will look perfectly smooth.

So what happens when your DVD player sends 24 frames per second to the TV, but the TV still wants to show 60 on the screen? This is a little slower than the cable TV frame rate, so if it simply shows each frame twice and then waits for the next one, there will be a black gap in between and the movie will look terrible. So, the TV needs to triple one frame, double the next, triple the following one, and so on, giving it a total of 60 frames to show each second. This is known as 3:2 Pulldown.

The 3:2 Pulldown trick works OK, but there is a problem. One image lasts a 20th of a second, then the next lasts a 30th. A 20th of a second is long enough for most people to tell that it's really a static image, and when the camera pans around in a scene, things will seem to move unevenly. But if your TV is able to display 120 frames per second, it can take the 24 Hz input and simply show each frame 5 times in a row for a total of 1/24 (or 5/120) second per frame, with no variation from frame to frame. And when 30Hz video comes in, it displays each frame 4 times in a row, for a total of 1/30 (or 4/120) second per frame. Problem solved.

Now that frame rates are fast enough to display any kind of input smoothly, HDTVs not only have high resolution in the x and y (height and width) dimensions, but also in the t (time) dimension. As in all kinds of digital media, higher resolution means smaller units of data, and that means a more lifelike reproduction of reality. The 120Hz frame rate won't be very common until 2008, but a few HDTVs already have it, like the Sony Bravia XBR4 series and the Sharp Aquos 92U series.

HDTV has certainly entered the fourth dimension (time), but has skipped the third (depth) in the process. Until we see start seeing holographic movies on DVD, we'll have to wait for true four-dimensional TV.

Cheap Digital Camera

When you are looking for cheap digital cameras, you can look at different manufacturers and different models. Keep in mind that even if you want a cheap camera, you still want to have quality images and features that make using the camera worth the time. If you buy a cheap camera that does not have high megapixels or a good zoom in and out, you might find that the camera is not something you can use in different situations. For a cheap digital camera under two hundred and fifty dollars, you might look for a Canon PowerShot A580.

The camera has 8 megapixels, which is good, but not as good as the Canon PowerShot A590 IS that has manual exposure settings and image stabilizer and 8 megapixels. The A590 IS is only thirty dollars more and you will have more features and better quality pictures. The Nikon Coolpix S200 is another cheap digital camera that has 7.1 megapixels. The camera is light and compact. The point and shoot camera does rank high with users. The camera does have some features that you would not use with this type of camera. The price however, is affordable under one hundred and fifty dollars.

The Fuji FinePix Z5fd is another cheap digital camera for under one hundred and twenty dollars. If you plan to make prints larger than the standard 4 by 5, you will not find this camera compatible for your needs. The camera only has 6.3 megapixels, but is a lightweight and compact camera that fits anywhere. Two other cameras to look at are the Kodak Easyshare V1253 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8. If you are looking for cheap digital cameras, you can find many different models that offer quality pictures and some nice features. These are just a few that you can look at.

While Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Fuji are some of the best when it comes to high quality digital cameras, they're certainly not the only game in town. There are equal and better cameras around, you just need to know where to look.

HDTV Technology - Should I Get a 1080p or 720p HDTV?

As you search for the perfect HDTV, you'll come across dozens of different terms that explain different types of technology, different styles of display and different levels of quality. One term that you will need to be familiar with is the screen resolution. An HDTV picture is made up of many small dots, or "pixels", and the amount of pixels that are used to make the picture is referred to as the resolution. In general, the more pixels, the better, and since an HDTV has more pixels than a regular TV, that's one of the things that makes it better.

There are two different levels of resolution commonly used in modern HDTVs. The lower one is called "720p", which means that there are 720 rows of pixels and it's a progressive display. In a typical widescreen HDTV, each row has 1280 pixels. The higher resolution, 1080p, means 1080 rows of pixels, usually with 1920 pixels per row.

What, you may ask, is a progressive display? In a progressive display, 30 times a second, the screen shows the full picture, then erases it to make room for the next frame. The other way to show a picture is with an "integrated display". That's where the TV draws the even rows of the picture on the screen, then the odd rows, then the even rows of the next frame, and so on. This technique has been used in regular TV sets for decades, because it takes about half as much effort and looks almost as good as a progressive display. Now that we have better technology, though, we can make every HDTV with a progressive display and bring picture quality up to the highest possible level. TV shows are still usually broadcast in an integrated format because it takes less bandwidth, but an HDTV will always "de-interlace" these shows to display progressively onscreen.

If you want to get a really big HDTV, you'll want to seriously consider 1080p resolution. In any set larger than 50 inches, a lower resolution will look choppy, since you'll be able to see individual pixels.

So, it would seem that 1080p is clearly better, and 720p is not really worth considering. But, there are actually some good reasons to choose 720p over 1080p:

Input source.

You will only get the full benefit of a 1080p HDTV if you are watching 1080p content. Almost all TV broadcasts are still in 720p or 1080i, so a 720p set will handle them fine.

Screen size.

If the screen size is smaller than 50 inches, it will be very hard to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. At a normal viewing distance, they will look essentially the same.

Cost.

A 1080p set will almost always cost more than a similar set built with 720p resolution. If you can't see much difference in picture quality, why spend more?

Other factors.

When looking at the big picture in your HDTV purchase, the screen resolution is only one factor. Contrast ratio, black level, likelihood of problems and even customer service can all be more important factors than screen resolution. Don't let one exciting feature convince you to buy an inferior set.

The best way to get that big picture is to do research on the internet, look at HDTV reviews, see the sets in person if possible, and think about the factors that are really important to you. Using an online HDTV tutorial can also help point you in the right direction.

Marketing ClickBank - Can You Really Make Money?

Marketing ClickBank. Is it really possible to make money??

I've been studying this for about the past month now and from my standpoint I feel that it is very possible to make some serious money marketing ClickBank. Through some of the research I have done I will share with you some of the great aspects about ClickBank and why you should start marketing on Clickbank as well.

First of all Marketing on ClickBank is entirely free!! You simply go to their website and create a free account and just like that you are set up to be an Affiliate Marketer. They have a whole host of products for you to sell so it doesn't matter what you are into you are sure to find something that you are intersetd in and passionate about. All of the products on ClickBank are digital products so everything is designed to have the customer get instant gratification by downloading the product right now. Obviously in our society that is the way it is. Everyone wants instant gratification and that is what ClickBank products give them.

So now you've set up your free account. What do you do next?? You start selling. One of the best methods to get started is to write articles about a product that you have chosen to sell through ClickBank. Article Marketing is very common and many people use it to promote their product. So how does it work? Well there are a few steps to take.

1 First find out what product you want to market. It should be something that you have some type of knowledge of or experience with and something that you feel passionate about.

2) After your article is completed, you want to submit your article to the articles directories. Some of the main article directories are EzineArticles.com,goarticles.com, Digg.com, & Propeller.com. This is just a short list to get you started. There are tons of article directories out there to submit your articles too. You can also do a Google Search on Articles directories to find many more.

3) You want to draw people to your website through your article. Also include a link back to your website within your article.

4) Next you want to entice people to buy your product so you need to have some type of call to action in your article as well and this is where you place your link for the Product that you are promoting. If done right you could be making money in no time Marketing on ClickBank.

5) Affiliate Network marketing isn't a get rich quick scheme by any means however if you stick with you can be successful.

Internet Marketing - Advantages and Disadvantages

Everyone seems to be jumping on the internet marketing bandwagon lately. In the race to get their business online, many successful businesses forget to ask themselves some tough questions about what they are doing, what their expectations are and what their plan is to meet those expectations.

The internet can be a powerful tool that can put you on solid footing with bigger companies. On the other hand, the other companies may have more money to pay for advertising. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you analyze your internet marketing strategy.

Advantage of Internet Marketing

- your store is open, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Further, your customers are worldwide in reach, and can shop anytime that they want to

- the cost of spreading your message is next to nothing. Emailing your subscription base is more oftne cheaper than sending a letter through the mail

- updating your subscribers can be done almost instantly through email. Visitors to your website can get up to the minute information on each visit. If you are having a sale, your customers can start shopping at the discounted prices literally as soon as they open their email

- if you have an information sensitive business, such as a law firm, newspaper or online magazine, you can deliver your products directly to your customers without having to use a courier

Disadvantages of Internet Marketing

- online marketing is not free. The cost of software, hardware, wed site design, maintenance of your site, online distribution costs and of course, time, all must be factored into the cost of providing your service or product.

- slightly over 50% of households shop online. While that number will continue to grow, you are reaching less than two out of three households.

- the internet is still regarded as a source of information gathering for the majority of your customers. Of the number of visitors to your site, the vast majority of visitors who are motivated to buy will do so in person. Many people prefer the live interaction when they buy. If you have a small business with one location, this may deter customers from buying.

- easier to have outdated information on your site, thus timing of updates is critical

- there is no replacement for good old fashioned customer service. The majority of internet marketers lack customer service and inquiry response programs. As a result, many online visitors to your site will already have painted your site as poor service before they have even contacted you. The majority of websites also have poor navigation, which makes it difficult for your visitor to find what they are looking for. Many sites were created with a marketing view, not a customer service point of view.

- is your site secure? Does your customer know this? There are many incorrect stereotypes about the security of the internet out there. As a result, many of your visitors will not want to use their credit card to make a purchase. The fear of having their credit card info stolen is a clear and present danger in the minds of your visitors

- there is a lot of competition for your product already out there. By the time your visitor finds you, they have already been clicking many links. Unless they can find what they are looking for quickly, they are gone.

- many web visitors expect something for free. What do you have to offer them?

There are many other pros and cons of internet marketing. Its important for you to consider each when creating your internet marketing strategy. Each of the disadvantages can be overcome, but only if you view the customer experience from the eyes of your customer, not as an internet marketer.

Screen Failed 15 Months After Purchase
BEWARE!!! This product only has a 12 month Warranty. When I got mine in June 2008 I thought it was the greatest thing. Now it's August 2009, only 15 months old and tonight I have a 5 inch wide red tinted vertical bar from top to bottom just left of the center of the screen. Of course, it's no longer covered by warranty. At $2000, you would expect the product to last longer than 1 year. I can't begin to imagine how much it will be to repair this problem.

The last TV I bought before this was a Samsung Tube TV in 1993 and it's still working great.

i've had my samsung 4671f for 18 months now and i just love it!
i've owned my samsung 4671f for a year and a half now and i could not be more happier with it! great vivd, clear, sharp picture and the color scheme is perfect. it has a very good stereo sound and the unit looks just like it came out of the box last night. i paid $2,200.00 [it listed at about $2799.00 and more at most retailors] 18 months ago and that was pretty good for this unit and it was money well spent. a great deal for me! to sum this up after all this time the picture is stunning, the unit is flawless, i've never had one problem and i'm very happy with it!

Great job, Samsung!
Samsung LNT4671F 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD TV

If you are looking for a TV and feel like going all out, this is the one to get. This TV is outstanding. The picture and colors are amazing!

*****DON'T BUY THIS! BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!!!
OK, this is a great tv WHEN IT WORKS!!! The last week, if you shut it off, it will not turn back on for a half an hour. NOW, it will not TURN ON AT ALL. It goes click.. click.. click... I have had this for ONE YEAR & ONE MONTH, super... the warranty was for ONE YEAR. If you you tube it, you will see this problem happens A LOT with this TV! I wish I would have read a review like this and saved my self a few GRAND! I am so very pissed and upset. Samsung basically said TO BAD SO SAD.
Just thought I'd warn you all!!!!

bought at teen price
Breath taking...felt like I was spying during dialouge portions of movies on STANDARD DVD's. As a result I refuse to watch scary blu-ray movies because of the realism. SpiderWick chronicles on Blu-ray had me covering my eyes. Got at a steal, the price is the same age when one is officially is considered a teenage plus two zeros. This is a discontinued model but if you can get at a bargin you will NOT regret.
